China Supply and Marketing Agricultural Production Wholesale Market Holding Co. The Global Seafood Alliance (GSA), formerly the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA), has partnered with the Bangladesh Shrimp and Fish Foundation (BSFF) on a World Bank-funded project of the Bangladesh Department of Fisheries to uplift Bangladesh’s small-scale shrimp farmers and revitalize black tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) farming. Japanese food and beverage conglomerate S. Ishimitsu & Co. Ltd. has committed to sourcing seafood from Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP)-certified farms and processing plants, the Global Aquaculture Alliance (now the Global Seafood Alliance) announced in mid-August.
