BAP Announces Changes to Farm Standard Issue 3.0
The Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) team held a webinar on March 11, 2021 to provide an overview of the changes made to the revised BAP Farm Standard (Issue 3.0). The BAP Farm Standard (Issue 3.0) will become mandatory for all new and recertifying producers on March 1, 2022. This standard has updates to strengthen our commitments to environmental responsibility, social accountability, food safety, and animal welfare. This standard applies to the farming of finfish, crustaceans, and other aquatic invertebrates. It covers all production methods, including flow-through, partial exchange, and closed or recirculating aquaculture systems operated in ponds, cages, net pens, tanks, raceways, or closed-containment vessels.
