Moya gave the final talk in a series of talks on responsible, sustainable aquaculture.

He emphasized that third-party certification is becoming a key market requirement, pointing out that BAP is the world’s most comprehensive third-party aquaculture certification program, encompassing the entire aquaculture production chain and all key components to farming seafood responsibly — environmental responsibility, social responsibility, food safety, animal health and welfare and traceability.

Also in attendance at Aqua India 2016 were GAA President Dr. George Chamberlain, who delivered the keynote address, and Panchu Duraisamy, BAP country coordinator in India.

As BAP flourishes in India, GAA looks to further its relationship with the Society of Aquaculture Professionals through additional collaboration and information sharing.
