Celebrate 20 Years With GAA At Seafood Expo Global
The Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) is celebrating its 20th anniversary at Seafood Expo Global (SEG) in Brussels, Belgium, this year, heightening its presence with the assistance of a bigger exhibit and a luncheon focused on the industry-leading Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) third-party certification program.
SEG is the world’s largest seafood trade show, which in 2015 featured more than 26,600 seafood professionals from 144 countries and 1,761 exhibitors from 72 countries, including 66 national and regional pavilions. This year’s event takes place at BRUSSELS EXPO from April 25 to 27.
GAA is exhibiting in Hall 7, Stand 1405, and the 6-meter by 8-meter exhibit is brand new and twice as large as last year.
SEG attendees are encouraged to drop by the GAA exhibit for information on BAP as well as on GAA’s pre-competitive activities, including GAA membership, GOAL 2017 conference, Global Aquaculture Advocate website, GAA’s learning solutions program, MyGAA community forum and GAA Films. Both MyGAA and GAA Films are new to the GAA family.
Here’s a schedule of GAA and BAP events:
Tuesday, April 25:
12:30 to 2:30 p.m. — Luncheon, Room 1121, BRUSSELS EXPO: All are cordially invited to a GAA luncheon celebrating 20 years of responsible-aquaculture advocacy and third-party certification of farmed seafood. We will be accompanied by representatives of the production, retail and NGO communities. A light lunch and drinks will be served. Room 1121 is located in front of Hall 11 on Level 3. 4 p.m. — Premiere of GAA Films, GAA exhibit 7-1405: Join GAA for the premiere of GAA Films’ first short film.
