GAA and Asia-Pacific Aquaculture Expo and Global Aquaculture Summit

GAA Co-Sponsoring CAPPMA Expo, Summit

The Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) is proud to announce that it is once again co-organizing the third annual Asia-Pacific Aquaculture Expo and Global Aquaculture Summit in Fuzhou City, China.

Organized by the China Aquatic Products Processing and Marketing Alliance (CAPPMA), the event is expected to attract participants from Chinese government agencies, institutions, associations and businesses. The Asia-Pacific Aquaculture Expo, which is being held from from June 30 to July 2, features more than 130 exhibitors. Last year’s expo attracted 12,000 visitors.

The Global Aquaculture Summit, which last year drew more than 400 attendees from 21 Chinese provinces and 25 countries, is being held from June 29 to July 1. This year’s theme is “Ecological Priority & Green Development.” Aquaculture innovation and technology, e-commerce and international trade are among the topics being addressed at the summit.

The Asia-Pacific Aquaculture Expo and Global Aquaculture Summit registration deadline is June 16.

The Global Aquaculture Alliance signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CAPPMA in June 2014. As part of the agreement, the two organizations and their members work collaboratively to advance responsible aquaculture through GAA’s Best Aquaculture Practices third-party certification program in China and globally through the exchange of information and participation in each other’s events.

GAA has co-organized the Asia-Pacific Aquaculture Expo and Global Aquaculture Summit since their inception.
