GAA Participating in 9th High Energy Mariculture Conference

GAA an Official Supporter of 9th High Energy Mariculture Conference

The Global Aquaculture Alliance is proud to announce that it is amongst the official supporters of the 9th High Energy Mariculture Conference in association with World Fishing & Aquaculture magazine.

The three-day conference will be held at the Corfu Imperial Hotel in Greece from Oct. 17 to 19, 2018.

The High Energy Mariculture Conference is the European edition of Offshore Mariculture Conference, which was held in Singapore in May 2018 and Baja California, Mexico, in March 2017. Organized by Mercator Media, the conference is geared toward medium- to high-volume production of marine finfish within the European waters.

The three-day program features around 30 speakers addressing a variety of topics, organized in seven sessions — technology for high energy operations, improving product value through marketing, certification and awards, successful high energy operations, business development and investment, site selection, hatcheries, breeding and genetics, and feed and fish health.

Mike Berthet, market development manager for GAA’s Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) division, is speaking in Session 2 on Day 1 about the benefits of the BAP third-party certification program.

The keynote speakers are Dr. Beyhan de Jong, a leading analyst at Rabobank’s Food & Agribusiness Research division, and Langley Gace, senior vice president of InnovaSea.
