Join the Global Aquaculture Alliance on Giving Tuesday

As I’m sure you’re already aware, aquaculture that is executed poorly can be damaging to human health, precious natural resources, and economies.

By becoming a member, you are demonstrating to the world that responsibly raised aquaculture is an important part of providing good nutrition and protecting the environment and you’ll be helping practitioners get the tools they need to make positive changes.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking you to donate by becoming a member.

GAA and Giving Tuesday

Aquaculture production is projected to grow from 47.2 million metric tons in 2006 to 93.6 million metric tons by 2030, while wild fisheries production is expected to decline from 64.5 million metric tons to 58.2 million metric tons during that same time. To feed the world’s growing population, aquaculture has to deliver an additional 46.4 million metric tons to meet the world’s seafood needs and must be done responsibly.
