GAA’s 2020 Annual Report Highlights Commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goals, Serving Members and Certified Facilities through Pandemic

The Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) on June 14, 2021, published its 2020 Annual Report. The 46-page 2020 Annual Report highlights GAA’s commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) as well as the nonprofit organization’s commitment to serving its almost 400 individual and corporate members and its more than 2,900 Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP)-certified

BAP Program Grows 29 Percent in 2018

It’s official. The industry-leading Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) third-party certification program closed out 2018 on a high note, finishing up the year with 2,287 BAP-certified facilities worldwide. Of the 2,287 BAP-certified facilities, 1,534 are farms, 370 are processing plants, 45 are re-processing plants, 220 are hatcheries and 118 are feed mills. Additionally, there are 245 farms that

Impressive Year as Number of BAP-Certified Facilities Nears 1,800

The number of Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP)-certified facilities jumped 3.3 percent from October to November but fell just shy of 1,800 through the first 10 months of 2017, the Global Aquaculture Alliance announced in mid-November. It’s been an impressive year of growth for the BAP third-party certification program, with the number BAP-certified facilities hitting 1,794
